Install on your phone
Todome installs from the browser — no app store, no download. It gets its own icon, opens without an address bar, and keeps working offline.
Android
- Open todome.hobbytime.tech in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu.
- Choose Install app — not Add to Home screen. The two look similar and do different things.
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Add to Home screen | A bookmark. Opens in Chrome, with the address bar. |
| Install app | A real app. Own icon, own window, no address bar, works offline. |
iPhone and iPad
- Open the site in Safari — installing does not work from Chrome on iOS.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
Note: On iOS, notifications only work once the app has been added to the home screen and opened from there at least once. This is an Apple restriction, not a Todome one.
What installing changes
- Its own icon in your launcher, and its own entry in the app switcher.
- No browser chrome — the whole screen is the app.
- More reliable reminders, because the service worker that receives them stays registered.
- An offline screen instead of a browser error when you have no signal. Todome needs a connection to load your tasks, but it tells you so clearly rather than failing.
- Long-press the icon for shortcuts straight to Add a task or Today.
Is there a Play Store version?
Not yet. The installed web app is the same product — same features, same reminders — and it updates automatically without you doing anything. A Play Store listing is planned mainly for discoverability.
Removing it
Uninstall it like any other app. Nothing is deleted: your tasks live on the server, and signing in anywhere brings them all back. See Troubleshooting if you ever need to reinstall to pick up a fix.
